Fuel injection

All UAS-engines can be provided with both carburettor and alternatively with electronic injection. The following benefits result from this:

  • Fuel consumption can be reduced due to more exact consideration of all of the operating parameters.
  • Power can be increased through better mixture preparation.
  • Engine can be better controlled and regulated at various RPMs. This is especially important during warm-up.

Ensuring that the petrol supply system functions independently of position is particularly important when using piston engines in aircraft in order to be able to call upon the engine’s full power during movements about the longitudinal or transverse axis.

Twin spark option

All UAS-engines beginning at 55 ccm can be delivered as a twin-spark (TS) version. Both ignitions work independently of one another here.

The following benefits can be achieved using the TS version:

  • The engine runs at a lower idle; general operational behaviour is quieter.
  • Safety and reliability increase in both single- and multiple-cylinder engines when using the TS cylinder.
  • When one ignition fails, the second ignition working independently ensures that the engine continues to run with slightly reduced RPM.
